BNS: Lithuanian president, PM to discuss global financial situation with EU leaders in Brussels

VILNIUS, Nov 07, BNS - Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus and Prime Minister Gediminas Kirkilas are flying to Brussels on Friday to discuss the global financial situation with other leaders of the European Union (EU).

Agenda of the one-day visit includes a luncheon of heads of EU states and governments, the Lithuanian president's press service reported.

According to the press release, the informal meeting should focus on the economic and financial situation on the global arena, possible solutions and
help prepare for the international meeting on the financial crisis to take place in Washington D.C. on Nov. 15.
