VILNIUS, Feb 17, BNS - A project of Lithuania's Statistics Department, the aim of which is to reduce the burden of statistical accountability, is vying for a European Enterprise Award. The list of bidders competing for the Jury's Grand prize and other awards presented to the entries that are considered the most creative and inspiring entrepreneurship initiative in Europe includes 13 projects, the Economy Ministry said in a statement.

Lithuania also nominated the initiative of SEB bank - SEB Business Art - TV Project Worth a Million, which, however, failed to reach the final stage of the competition.

The winners will be selected by the jury, which comprises a representative of academia, a business organisation, an entrepreneur from the Spring European Council presidency, and a high-level government representative of the Autumn European Council presidency for that specific year.
