CONGRATULATIONS ON THE OCCASION OF THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE RESTORATION OF LITHUANIA'S INDEPENDENCE

As President of the European Council, I wish to congratulate the President, the Government and the people of Lithuania on the 20th anniversary of the restoration of Lithuanian independence. It was an event of historic significance for the whole of Europe. I look forward to attending the celebrations marking this occasion in Brussels on the 17th of March.
