DALIA GRYBAUSKAITĖ PRESENTED LETTERS OF CREDENCE TO LITHUANIA'S PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE TO THE EUROPEAN UNION

Monday, October 4, Vilnius - President Dalia Grybauskaitė presented letters of credence to Mr. Raimundas Karoblis, Lithuania's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Permanent Representative to the European Union.

During their meeting, the President and the Ambassador discussed topical EU policy issues and Lithuania's preparations for the EU presidency in 2013.

From 1999 to 2003, Raimundas Karoblis (42) served as Minister-Counselor at the Lithuanian Permanent Mission to the United Nations Office in Geneva and as Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the World Trade Organization. Between 2003 and 2007, he headed the Department of Economics and the Foreign Trade Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania. In 2007-2010, he was Ambassador at Large at the Lithuanian Permanent Representation to the European Union.
