Delegation of the Lithuanian Seimas (Parliament) discusses energy and transport in Brussels

Yesterday, the Delegation of the Economy Committee of the Lithuanian Parliament, headed by its Chair Birutė Vėsaitė, came to Brussels for a visit of four days.


Today they met the Deputy Permanent Representative of Lithuania at the EU Romas Švedas, who is also the Lithuanian Representative at COREPER I. On the agenda there were questions of transport and energy, namely, implementation of Rail Baltica and Via Baltica projects, shutdown of 2nd reactor  of the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant. Later in day the Delegation visited the Deputy Chamber of Belgium and the European Parliament.  
 
The Delegation will visit also the European Commission, the Council;  then, in Luxemburg, the meetings in the Parliament of Luxemburg, European Court of Auditors, EIB and Court of Justice are previewed.
