FURTHER ACTION TO CONTROL DEBT CRISIS WILL BE DISCUSSED AT THE INFORMAL MEETING OF MEMBERS OF THE EUROPEAN COUNCIL

On October 26, President Dalia Grybauskaitė will attend the informal meeting of the European Council members who will discuss concrete measures to control the euro zone's debt crisis and to ensure the stability of the EU finance and banking sector.
According to the President, the approval of such measures requires the consent of all 27 EU member states. The decisions of the European Council will also influence the economy of our country, therefore it is important for Lithuania and its people to participate in solving the EU financial issues.
