In this year's TRANSPOESIE Festival Lithuania will be represented by Indrė Valantinaitė
The participants of this year’s TRANSPOESIE festival that has already started in Brussels come from 30 countries and present their work in 28 different languages. Lithuania this year is represented by a poet of the younger generation Indrė Valantinaitė.
The works of the authors are translated into French and Flemish and presented in different spaces of Brussels old town as well as in the city’s public transport system (in the metro, trams, buses). Events, meetings with authors are also organised during the festival.
A Poetry Evening – meeting with the authors will take place at Balassi Institute (Hungarian Cultural Institute, address: Treurenberg 10, 1000 Bruxelles) 9 October at 8 p.m. The Lithuanian representative will participate together with the authors from Portugal, Italy, Hungary, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
Everybody who is interested in poetry and who wants to meet the Lithuanian author is invited to this event.
