LITHUANIAN COMPANY AMONG THE 50 FASTEST- GROWING TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES IN CENTRAL EUROPE

The Lithuanian technology company UAB Mobiliųjų telefonų techninis centras was ranked 42 with a growth of 356% in the 2009 Technology Fast 50 ranking in Central Europe. The company provides mobile phone repair and maintenance services and has a 75% share of the market in Lithuania.
The annual Technology Fast 50 company rankings were announced by the international audit and business consulting company Deloitte. The company ranking was compiled based on the percentage of revenue growth over the five-year period.
The Polish IT company Netmedia S.A., specialising in innovative computer systems and e-commerce, took the first place, with a growth of 7,210% over the recent 5 years. The Romanian software applications producer TeamNet International was ranked second, with a growth of 3,317%. Yet another Polish company, Kompan.pl, specialising in internet marketing, captured the third place (2,411% growth).
This year’s ranking saw companies from 10 countries: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Estonia, and Lithuania. Hungary was the country with most companies in the list (22%), and Poland ranked second (18%).
