Lithuanian Diplomatic Service Day was celebrated in Brussels

On 14 November, Lithuanian Diplomatic Service Day was celebrated at the Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the European Union. The large gathering of staff from the Permanent Representation, the Embassy of Lithuania in Belgium, and the Permanent Representation of Lithuania to NATO was greeted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gabrielius Landsbergis, who was in Brussels to attend the Foreign Affairs Council.

In his welcoming speech, the Minister highlighted Lithuania's growing diplomatic service and increasingly ambitious foreign policy, which are making Lithuania's name more and more heard and known worldwide.

The Lithuanian diplomatic service was established on 7 November 1918 and is now in its 105th year of meaningful and active activity.
