LITHUANIA'S STATE DECORATION PRESENTED TO G. WIEGAND FOR ACTIVE SUPPORT TO EU EASTERN PARTNERSHIP

Today, 23rd July in Brussels, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius presented the State decoration – the Cross of Officer of the Order for Merits to Lithuania - to Mr. Gunnar Wiegand, the European External Action Service Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia Regional Cooperation and OSCE countries, active supporter of Lithuania‘s objectives in the Eastern Partnership states.

The decoration was awarded by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė on the occasion of July 6 – the State day (Day of Coronation of Lithuanian King Mindaugas).
