Lithuania among world leaders in digital transformation in Public Sector (LITHUANIA.LT)
The World Bank’s 2022 GovTech Maturity Index for Digital Transformation in the Public Sector ranked Lithuania as one of the world leaders, rising from the 39th to the 8th place. South Korea was ranked the 1st, whereas Estonia took the 6th spot and neighbouring Latvia was ranked in the 27th place.
Recognition as an innovation leader will help to increase the competitiveness of Lithuanian businesses on the global stage.
Vilnius presents 700-year anniversary programme (LRT)
Over a hundred partners have been involved in the preparations for the 700th anniversary of Vilnius, and two dates have been chosen for the main events: January 25, when Vilnius was first mentioned in historical written sources, and July 25 July, the day of the city’s patron St Christopher.
SpaceX Transporter-6 successfully launched Europe‘s first solar sail mission (NANOAVIONICS)
Kongsberg NanoAvionics (NanoAvionics) has announced the successful launch of Europe‘s first solar sail mission aboard SpaceX Transporter-6. The 6U nanosatellite nicknamed ‘Alpha’ was manufactured for France’s Gama. It is one of four satellites, built by the Lithuanian smallsat mission integrator for multiple customers, that got sent into low Earth Orbit.

A Lithuanian LEGO fan designer is seeking to turn one of Kaunas’ interwar modernist buildings into an official set of the popular construction toy line.
