New laser and space tech park opens in Vilnius (LRT)

A new photonics, laser processing and space technology centre was opened at Vilnius' Visoriai Information Technology Park on Thursday. Its founders plan to develop a European-level ecosystem of space and optical technologies in the Lithuanian capital's Visoriai neighbourhood.

Lithuanian Airports’ Priorities for 2023 (LTOU)

The strategic priorities of Lithuanian Airports for 2023 include the construction of the new Vilnius passenger departure terminal, the expansion of the northern apron of Kaunas Airport and an analysis of the possibilities for the expansion of the passenger terminal of this airport. MONEYVAL report on Lithuania: improvements in transparency of legal persons and in powers of customs authorities (COE)

Lithuania has improved its measures to combat money laundering and terrorist financing; it has been upgraded from “partially compliant” to “largely compliant” with the FATF (Financial Action Task Force) Recommendations 24 and 32, related to transparency of legal persons and cash couriers, concludes the Council of Europe’s anti-money laundering body MONEYVAL in a follow-up report released today.

3 meters wide, 5 meters high, 10 meters long, and weighing 200 tonnes – this powerful component will play a key role in transforming electricity from energy networks to consumers. This transformer, worth more than €2 million, was offered by Litgrid and is part of the biggest logistics operation ever coordinated under the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
