On September 10th, the Dutch bicycle manufacturer Pon.Bike opened its new factory in the Kėdainiai Free Economic Zone. The factory is set to create over 600 new jobs and attract more than 56.9 million euros in investments, providing a significant boost to the local economy and the Lithuanian manufacturing sector.

Despite recent challenges, the sector has demonstrated remarkable resilience last year, now employing over 27,200 people, including specialists from four newcomer companies.

The Lithuanian economy has successfully seized the growth opportunities that have opened up and got back to the growth path in the first half of this year following two years of stagnation. With private consumption growing strongly and demand for Lithuanian goods and services recovering gradually on export markets, the Lithuanian economy is projected to grow by more than 2% in 2024 before accelerating to above 3% next year.
