Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania resolved to acknowledge independence of the Republic of Kosovo

On 6th May 2008, the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania adopted the Resolution “On the Acknowledgment of the Republic of Kosovo”. Voting results: for – 50, against – 6, abstained – 25.

The document acknowledges independence of the Republic of Kosovo and recommends the Government of the Republic of Lithuania to establish diplomatic relations with the Republic of Kosovo.
