THE PRESIDENT RECEIVED LETTERS OF CREDENCE FROM BELGIAN AMBASSADOR
President Dalia Grybauskaitė accepted letters of credence from Ambassador Peter Lescouhier of Belgium.
The President and the new Ambassador discussed Lithuania-Belgium bilateral relations and cooperation in the European Union and NATO.
According to the President, it is in Lithuania's interest to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation with Belgium and to use the experience gained by this country. Belgium held the EU Presidency in the second half of 2010.
The 51-year-old diplomat speaks French, English and Chinese. The Ambassador specializes in the European Union and Chinese affairs.
